Barwood Taxi

TERRIBLE AWFUL UNRELIABLE service. I could go on forever about how bad this cab company is. They made me wait OVER 1 HOUR for a cab, while promising all the time that the driver was just round the corner. And this is not the first time either. Their cabs also tend to be quite dirty , hardly ever get a clean cab. I wouldn't even give them a one star.

I had been a regular customer of Barwood taxis for the past 1.5 years, and always happy with their services. Until - yesterday, I had booked a taxi for 8:00 to go to airport to catch a flight. At just after 8:00 the taxi had not appeared, so I called the office. After spending 15 minutes on hold, I was told that they decided not to dispatch any taxis for passenger pickup in my area because of too much snow on the ground, it was "too dangerous." Never mind that I could see vehicles driving slowly by my house. Fortunately my wife was able to take me to the airport, after I spent an additional 15 minutes cleaning snow off my car. I very nearly missed my flight. During the ride I saw many other cars on the road including taxis from other companies.



It is Barwood's prerogative if they think about 1 inch of snow on the ground makes it too dangerous to drive - but at least they could have taken the trouble to inform me and other customers who had confirmed bookings. This company is clearly indifferent to its customers. They have convinced me to try Uber.

Don't use the Barwood!!!



I called the service two hours in advance and recieved the confirmation number. I was going to the airport.

The taxi was 25 min late, the driver told me he didn't have gas to take me to the airport and stopped for gas.When Barwood manager called to the driverand said they are not going to charge me for that service the driver simply threw me out of taxi in the middle of knowhere...and he knew I needed to catch the plane.
