The front desk promptly answered the few questions I asked. The car was serviced satisfactorily in the time period estimated. The over-all experience was excellent. I have visited this tire and repair location before and have always been pleased with their professionalism and timeliness.

This is hands down the WORST e...

This is hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with a company before. A few of the reviews on here mention a quoted price, and that was exactly what they got. That is exactly what I did NOT get. The price was changed on me 3 different times and the day I was to pick up the vehicle, I was called and told the price would be double what I had been quoted, EXCUSE ME!!!! I went back and forth, and then told them to STOP all work and I would be there to pick up the vehicle. I arrived and they are still trying to charge me over $300 just to get my vehicle back. This they want because of the diagnostics... diagnostics they already ran the day before, and for which I was NOT told about. BE AWARE!!! Do NOT go here!!!!!!!!! Take your vehicle to the service provider for the make of the vehicle. It will be cheaper, and more honest. What a waste of 2 days. I will never go there again!!!!!

My recent safety inspection at Virginia Tire and Auto was my second. I remain very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of that service. Having the car left at the front door after completion is a classy touch. Thank you.

I hadn't taken my Mazda in for...

I hadn't taken my Mazda in for service for some time; primarily because several problem occurred with it that required the dealer to fix. I was due for a State Inspection, Oil Change and thought I would need the front/rear brakes serviced and thought I'd take it back VT&A of Gainsville. It was a smart choice!! The service was efficient, pricing competitive, Shuttle service nice and staff very pleasant and not out to gouge you for the repairs. I'll be back for my next servicing!!

I highly recommend VTAG! My battery died near this location. One of the guys drove me to my car and charged my battery. They were very busy at the time but he didn't make me feel rushed. I feel they are honest with me when I come in for service. I don't feel they are trying to up-sale me. They are very friendly and courteous when I'm there. They work hard to fit your schedule. Their hours are great!

My experience at Goodyear in G...

My experience at Goodyear in Gainesville was less than stellar. I recieved a free oil change coupon upon moving back to the area and decided to use it. I thought it was nice they sent a free certificate and they said no appointment necessary giving me the impression it would take 40 minutes of less. When I went in to sign my car in, I was never told how long it would take (everywhere else I have ever gone gave me a wait time). I asked how long they said it would take TWO HOURS. At that point I was already signed in and gave them my key so I walked to Target. I called to check in after 2 hours and 20 minutes with no call sayign it was ready. It still wasn't. Finally 3 hours later I show up and its ready. I has requested new windshield wipers, they quoted me $13.00 they were $24.00 also they charged $12.50 to install them (labor fees) WHICH THEY DID WRONG! I tested my wipers once I got onto Linton Hall Rd and had to turn around and go back in telling them they did not work. They gave me a new pair and those didn't work, the guy then realized they were installed upside down. I wasn't happy with this service and I wouldn't go back. People need to double check their work.

Beware of Services Not performed

They tried to charge me for a service-a diagnostic test that they didn't provide today and that I didn't request.



The first person that created the invoice seemed honest and prepared the services as I requested today. However, when I went in to pay the bill..a different counter person was trying to blow smoke about the services that were performed when I questioned the bill. Important note: Always remember who called you on the phone to tell them because they will say they don't know who you talked to over the phone when the car was diagnosed or the conversation you had with the person over the phone. Then this counter person acted irritated and basically threw a "childlike tantrum" until I was able to get the manager to come in to explain the bill to me. They then acted like they can't find the past history of the car in their computer-another note-hang on to all previous invoices for proof of services performed in past! Finally, they agreed that I shouldn't have been charged for it and deducted it from the bill.



Then as I go to my car to leave I notice they never put on the windshield wipers that I had paid for..so I had to go back in and show them. They rushed me out quickly to fix them so others would not hear me as I question whether other services were also performed today. Last Important note: Hang on to all old parts for proof after service performed!



I don't think all of the people in this shop are bad..but I think there are a few bad apples in there that have a lot to learn about customer service! Overall, question and question again until they can prove to you.
