Their horses for the most part have been given to them for free, because no one wanted them. Its nice of them to take in sick or free horses, however many are very old and over worked on their trails. Customer service is very lacking for the value they give back. The owners in my opinion, are not horse lovers and are just doing it as a business. Last but not least I found it not peaceful at all to ride in their training area since it on a major busy road, not my idea of peaceful. Boarding is 350 for pasture and goes much higher, there is much better deals around with much better prices and facilities.

I have been a faithful customer of Royal Horseshoe Farm since September of 2007. I have taken riding lessons from Tina Anderson and have found her to be very knowledgeable, patient, and and a true horse lover. She has a vast knowledge of horses from her lifelong experience of working with these animals. It is because of her quiet nature and gentle personality that I have decided to board my horse at Royal Horseshoe and have her as my trainer for my 2 year old filly.

I would recommend this facility- it is child and adult friendly, the horses are well schooled, and the trail rides are through some of the most beautiful country in Virginia.
