I purchased an investment house about 1.5 hours away from my primary residence and initiated gas service with Atmos. Today, I attempted to terminate service as I'm now selling the house and the Customer Service Rep. provides me my phone number and email to confirm I am the customer for this property. She then tells me service was never initiated because Atmos field worker found a small leak in the exterior piping. Then she says because I never responded to the problem, the meter was removed. However, she couldn't tell me WHY I was never notified there was a problem. Kind of hard to respond to a problem you don't know exists and since they have both my phone number and email, seems like someone could have notified me. Nope, all I got was "I'm sorry." I guess I would agree with them on that...they are pretty sorry.
