I was in a pickle. I needed an alternator, but just a rebuilt alternator at a chain store was over $200. Then I needed to get someone to remove and replace it. I'm a college student so money was tight.



I called North County Rebuilders to see how much to get just some parts to rebuild the alternator myself. After speaking with Sarah she offered to rebuild my alternator for $60 if I could bring it to her.



This was still pretty difficult. I would still have to pay someone to remove and replace it. The best offer I got for that was $95. And I would have to get it to them, 20 miles from where the car was.



Eventually they offered to do the remove and replace along with a fully rebuilt alternator for a great price. I ended up getting them to do the whole job with a warranty for just over $200 including tax.



John even gave me a ride to the transit center and picked me up the next day to reclaim my car. It's great service like this that only comes from small local businesses that actually care about their customers. I'll always support the local guy over the chains.



North County Rebuilders is a great service to their community! Next time you need an alternator or a starter try going to where you can actually meet the person who rebuilt the one you buy.
