Hobby Lobby

Today I went into this store for the first time while out running errands. I was looking for a airbrush pump for a project that I was working on and I found one for $160 with tax I bought the pump and as I was leaving I realized I didn't get a receipt so I asked the cashier for a receipt she handed me one and I left the store. Within a few minutes I got a call from my wife telling me that she had ordered one online for me so I took the one I just bought back to Hobby Lobby. This is where things got really weird. I go up to the counter and find out that the receipt that was given to me was not the receipt for the item I just purchased. Then one of the managers with dark stringy gray hair takes the pump and disappears in the back of the store for 30 minutes .When she returns she tells me she can't do the return because it is a used item and not the one they just sold me and there's no receipt . She claims that it has paint on it and has clearly been used. But she also refuses to show it to me. Then another employee with thinning gray hair, lies to me and tells me that once a month they check all of the items in the store by opening the packages to make sure nothing is a "used" item. (really?)She then says that she reviewed the videotape and she knows that I purchased the item and that she thinks I was given two receipts. (why would I be given two?)After arguing with them for more than an hour I finally called the police but because this was a non emergency call I was told that the police could take hours to get there. I' then called the corporate headquarters and ended up talking to several people with absolutely no resolution to the problem and only being told that they would call me back.After being in the store for more than 2 hours I had to leave to run some errands when I asked for the pump back they refused to give it to me and asked me if I had returned any other airbrush equipment over the last couple years I told them no.Again I argued with them about this but I was in a hurry and had to leave. I again call the corporate headquarters after leaving and was told that I would be called back and we would resolve this today. This was not done .So as it stands now Hobby Lobby in Centennial has stolen $160 from me.They wont give me my money back or the pump. These people are insane and incredibly rude. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a retailer. I am outraged that they would have the audacity to take property that does not belong to them. I will be pursuing this further through their corporate headquarters or through the courts. These people are psychotic and have stepped way over the line. That will be the last time I ever do business with them. I guess I should have looked at the recent history and expected this kind of behavior.
