Palmer Tire & Auto Service

Ive lived in Decatur, IL all my life and also have dealt with palmer tire for 8-9 years. I didn't suspect anything until the last couple times visiting their store. The first review of this company is correct. I have had multiple issues with my vehicles and was always convinced that the vehicle was inadequate or going bad, causing me to re-fix or fix multiple new issues. Knowing this was not the case for this vehicle, I decided to receive a second opinion on the vehicle by another company, and a third opinion from a friend of the family who has been in the car business all his life. We concluded from both other opinions that it DOES seem to be the case. They fix one issue and they mess up another issue so the turn around time to visit them again is shortened. Ive been a very loyal customer to them until I found they have been taking advantage of us for not having any car knowledge. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they were desperate and stranded on the road, and even then it would only be to fix the issue for a short amount of time and would strongly recommend visiting a different auto shop to fully fix the issue.

Palmer is the best place to take your car. I've had my brakes and tires replaced and they treated my like a valued customer. I will always come back!

To the last reiew. Maybe his/her car is a piece of crap and has one problem after the other and is just putting a good well run business since 1982 a bad name. I've been a loyal customer for 5-6 years now and have not a bad thing to say about them. They are friendly, experienced, and honest. They wont tell you to replace something you don't need replaced. If this business was such a fraud like the last review is saying it is, then why have they been in business for 29 years?

They fix one thing, but mess up another so you have to be back there. Don't worry about claiming anything because Palmer's will deny it. There are many shops in Decatur, so please save your money, stress and time. Palmer's has low work ethics
