Overall we have been very happy with pets playhouse on ponce. We have been using them for a very long time. We had an issue in the beginning but all seems smooth sailing since them. Dogs seem happy when they come home.

I pay good money to leave my 14 1/2 year old Golden Retriever at a place like this when I travel in an attempt to make sure he is watched over and kept safe. When I picked him up yesterday, he had been mutilated by another dog. His tail had been clawed and chewed so bad that all the fur was completely gone and the tail below was a blood red mess. I feel so bad for my poor dog right now. And even though it happened a few days before we picked him up, and even though we spoke with them the day before to extend his stay one day because of a delay returning from our trip, they did not mention anything about it to us until after we had paid the $480 bill. I can not with a good conscious ever leave an animal to be neglected here again.

Marty, I'm so sorry that Oberon has gone through this experience. I personally know how you feel - one of my pets had to have her leg amputated this past Christmas due to an attack from a coyote - so I can equally sympathize. But let's put things into perspective: 1. We have been caring for Oberon for nearly the past two years, giving him the best possible care and treatment that we'd give our own personal pets; when his legs failed him we would be there to carry him out for his walks, when he'd soil himself, we'd be there to clean him up. Not until now have you ever posted a review, which is fine. But let's not let our emotions control our objectivity. 2. As much as I'd love to never have a pet be injured, unfortunately, it's unrealistic to think that it doesn't happen. Oberon, whether his medication had any direct result or not, was placed in his own run (a 5ft by 8ft space) for nighttime. During the course of the night his tail made it's way under the wall separating his run from the pet next to him, and the dog in that run pulled the hair off his tail. We know this by the evidence we found the next morning. Our employees cleaned the wound, bandaged it and notified the manager, all what I'd expect for the care of my own pets. 3. I came in the next day, under the assumption that you had been notified, and inspected the wound. I'm certified in pet cpr and first aid, and I determined that the wound was healthy (not infected) and as sorry as I felt for poor Oberon, would be an injury that would heal just fine. I re-clean his tail and put a fresh bandage on him. 4. When you called and subsequently picked him up, you were told of his injury, according to my staff, as you were checking him out. Not all of our 13+ employees were here during the time of his injury, and were not the ones who were in charge of Obie's care. They wouldn't be the ones to confer questions to. 5. Upon hearing about how upset you were about not being called, I immediately attempted to contact you. After several attempts and emailing back and forth, we got in touch with you, and we offered and did pay Obie's vet bill. I freely admit that we dropped the ball in communicating with you about this incident. However, as far as his care in our facility, I strongly disagree with your opinion. Under the circumstances, he was cared for to the best of anyone's ability, whether he was here or any where else. Again, I'm sorry your pet was injured in our facility. Thank you, Shaun - General Manager

I would like to thank all of our nearly 4,000 loyal customers for making the past 5 years successful. Without you Pet's Playhouse on Ponce would be just another Doggie Daycare!!

Not one word could describe ho...

Not one word could describe how wounderful this place is!

The hours are amazing especially on Sunday they stay open till 7 for all of us that work till 6!

The facility is clean and doesn't smell like its even a doggy daycare!

They have web cams so you can keep an eye on your furry child while your at work or out of town!

Pets Playhouse is just so amazing. If they were a child day care I would trust them with my 1 year old daughter! I couldn't dream of a better daycare for my pom pom then them!!!!

The wife made him write it! GO GIRL! Dog stay home!

""I do not usually write reviews but my wife has nagged me to do this for a week.

We brought our dog to Pet Playhouse for boarding over July 4th and what a mistake it was. We usually use our vet but they were full. I picked this place because I have seen coupons everywhere and now I know why. It is a s__t hole. The place stinks and the people that work there look like they just came in from a trailer park.

I had six different coupons from different magazines and newspapers and every deal was different. When I picked up the dog I was told "you can't use the coupon on a holiday".

Also, I think I bothered the old guy that checked me out. He was sitting there half asleep wehn I came in and he yawned in my face.

Never again!""

So what counts as a holiday? The day of the holiday the days before and after? AT PETS PLAYHOUSE you cannot use one on a HOLIDAY WEEK??!?!?! What defines a holiday WEEK? The week before or the week after or both? Better yet>>>>>>>>>>> What defines a HOLIDAY? Bastille Day? Valentines Day? Well according to the management, YES VTINES is a holiday (QUOTE) because we are more busy on Valentines day than some other real holidays.

Like the guy above say... NEVER AGAIN
