Palmetto Primary Care Physicians

I visited this office to have my free (via Blue Cross Blue Shield) annual wellness check. When I made the appointment I told them that I was coming in for my wellness check. When I checked in I gave them my insurance card and told them I was there for my wellness check and annual blood work. After telling me they don't have a doctor I saw the PA, I told her I wanted the blood work for my annual wellness check. When I was finished I spoke to the lady at the desk and asked them if I owed anything she said no, so I left. I have received a bill for $156.72 for my wellness check. I have called over 9 times and complained to the billing person, they say it was because it was my first visit at that office, however no one told me that prior, during or after my visit. Further more after holding for 30 plus minutes on 9 or more different attempts I left urgent requests with the billing person to have their superiors, Sue Walker or her Supervisor Brenda Rankin to returned my call, they have yet to do so. Johnathan in billing was the latest person I spoke to, he swore twice that he would get them to call me within the day but to no avail. This is the most poorly run medical office I have ever dealt with!!! Do yourself a favor and find another doctors group.

Used to be wonderful. Once they were named "Physician of the Year" everything changed. At front desk (when you can get through) you're literally just a number. And medical quality of care has declined 75%. No more caring staff. It's like they've gotten a siege mentality where patients are viewed as adversaries. Drs. forget things, don't listen to patients. Might as well go to a "doc-in-the-box" - at least they're open more than a few hours a day and don't require a herculean effort to get an appointment. Actually, Banfield Vet is better.

I called this office to schedule an appointment as a new patient 3 weeks ago. The first time I called, the office was "out to lunch". The second time I called, I was told I needed to speak to the new patient administrator but she was unavailable. The receptionist indicated that "Christine" would call me back to schedule my appointment. A few days went byand I did nnot receive any calls from this office so I called for a third time. I finally was able to speak to "Christine" who told me they were months out for appointments but she would speak to the doctor to see if they could see me sooner. That was 3 weeks ago and have yet to hear from her nor do I have an appointment in the future. No wonder primary care physicians are a dying breed. And all I wanted was a basic check up. Good thing I wasn't dying.

i LOVE this office! Dr Spicer and Lori have ALWAYS been so nice and answered every single question. They have not once made me feel like I was asking a stupid question or anything. Always explain things very well also. One of the best things is I usually have to bring my children in with me and so they make sure to put me in the room with toys and if I don't have my kids they ask about them BY NAME. I think that is very nice to have them know my kids names and they aren't even their drs. I LOVE this office!!! Would recommend it to anyone. :)

I love Dr Spicer. She always listens, gives great advice, and I feel like I am getting the best care for my family. My two girls love her as well. Her office staff is very professional and pleasant. The nurses were absolutely wonderful with my daughter on our last visit. she was so sick, and they made her feel so comfortable.

Chrystin Austin is very professional and competent. She takes good care of me and I highly recommend her. New office is nice too!

Lori and Dr. Spicer are terrific! Within the last year my wife and I have changed doctors, and we are both very happy we did. With my past doctor, if I had a question, i had to make an appointment to see my doctor. Now if i have a question, I email Lori, who will then talk to Dr. Spicer. Lori will then either call or email is back (and it's not within 24 hours, but within an hour or less). The office staff and lab staff are all wonderful. Believe me, usually I don't like going to the doctor, but when I go everyone has a smile on their face, and therefore it's a very pleasant experience! A+

I have received amazing medical care and attention from Dr.s Davis and Spicer. But, I must admit, I have been a patient of theirs for many years, so I might be biased. Although there is an occasional wait when I come, the care I have received has been excellent every time without exception. Both doctors have been personable, honest, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They show interest in my welfare, give advice for prevention and my health, and make me feel comfortable and at ease.The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, patient and organized. I could not recommend this practice more, and I intend to stay with them as long as I can. Life is too short to have to deal with poor medical care, so when you find not one but two good doctors, you stick with them.

Both Dr. Spicer and Dr. Davis are wonderful doctors. I have been going to them for the last few years. They always spend as much time as necessary to answer all my questions and do so in a very friendly, professional manner. They are the best doctors I have had. Very attentive to details, keeping track of changes over the years, and helping me to improve my health without always turning to medicine or surgery. Their nurses are also great. I couldnt be more satisfied with their practice.



They also have fit me in same day, if I come down with something and need to be seen right away.

Dr. Spicer is a wonderful physician. She really takes the time to listen and it's as if you are talking to a friend. She thinks of all the options that will be best for the patient, e.g., the cost of medications, alternatives that will be most beneficial and side effects of treatment that may be uncomfortable for you. The front office staff is also cheerful when greeting and checking you out and her nurse is as equally qualified and easy to talk to as Dr. Spicer. Every visit has been a great experience!!

Dr. Spicer and Lori are fantastic. I have been so happy with the care I have had for the past the year. I have now moved my husband and children to this practice!

This Doctor's office was incredibly ATROCIOUS! When I called the office, they were unorganized and confused, putting me on hold for 10-20 minutes at a time whilst they tried to figure out how to schedule a simple appointment. And THEN, the girl at the front desk actually asked me, "What color is your daughter?" She didn't ask what race she was, she asked what COLOR she was. How incredibly inappropriate is that? I was flustered at first, but I decided to simply report it to the doctor during my visit. But THEN, things grew even worse. On the morning of our appointment, they call to tell me that the appointment is cancelled just as I'm about to go out the door!!!! Unbelievable! So, I call them back and try to reschedule an appointment and they tell me that they can't get me rescheduled for 2 WEEKS! We are avid travelers and I told her we were leaving the country and needed to have a simple check up for my daughter, which takes 30 minutes. She said that it was absolutely impossible to fit my daughter in for 30 minutes for the next two weeks. They cancelled the appointment on the morning we were supposed to come and then refuse to accommodate us after they inconvenienced us. I cancelled my daughter's insurance through them and went to another doctor. I was hoping to go here for convenience since we are on the island, but now I will be telling everyone not to go there. I hold a public position and it's really unfortunate that they have such poor business ethics because they will be losing potential clients because of this.
