Well it appears that ALL of these reviews are older than dirt and that Dr. Paulsen’s practice deserves some much needed credit along with some outstanding praise. Dr. Paulsen, her front office staff: Kathy , Karen and Karen along with the “newer” NP (nurse practitioner) have been nothing but caring, outstanding and have always gone above and beyond to help many friends and family I have referred over the past 10 years.

I’m sorry that a lot of you people did not receive the immediate “GET MY STUFF NOW” paperwork that you needed, however, just like with ANY physicians practice…. Things do not happen right that second but they HAVE always taken care of anything we have EVER needed or required.

These ladies in this practice go above and beyond to ensure that their patients are not only happy, but their main concern is for the patients overall well-being. I KNOW they have had to see a lot of shady characters throughout Dr. Paulsens medical career who have been deceptive to all of them! So, pardon me for saying I get it and completely understand the fact that they are just trying to look out for ALL of her patients AND their families!

Hope you all can see this from a former medical practice managers point of view. I have always tried to put myself in everybody else’s shoes before I make judgements about THEIR performance at their jobs. I think some other reviewers MIGHT want to try this approach, it might make you a better person or at least a more open perspective person.

I have been trying to schedule with this office for 3 weeks - the call center is very unprofessional and rude. The ONLY call back that I have received was to inform me I needed to come in and sign a release to have my records transferred. Ummm Ive never been there - the info you received was FROM MY DOCTOR ... I have left multiple messages on the appointment line but no return calls. I have been in a medical customer service position for 25 years and have seen nothing like this. Not a way to support and build a practice for your doctors.

If I could give this place a negative star I would. So I returned a phone call today and spoke with Denise at Rockdale Psychiatric Office regarding my sister's paperwork for SSI. Denise asked for a fax number to get assistance in completing more paper work that another Associate and I had already agreed last week was no longer need in order to expedite my sister's already prolonged SSI application. When I asked why this paper work and fax number was needed, Denise displayed an attitude and hung up on me. I called back twice, spoke with Kathy and asked to speak with whoever hung up on me, Kathy stated Denise was the person, she was currently unavailable to speak with me, but was just trying to explain the paperwork to me and get a fax number (5 minutes after the incident) - basically justify her co-worker being unprofessional. Completely inexcusable! I expected better from Dr. Paulsen's office and her staff. I'm sure it will take a week now to get the "much needed" paperwork.

I have been a patient here for well over ten years. The ONLY reason I won't go anywhere else is because of Dr. Paulsen, Dr. Beasley, and Denise. As far as the office staff goes though, they really couldn't be more RUDE! They make it VERY obvious that they have better things to do than to answer your call and, God forbid, have to take a message. And leaving a message is absolutely pointless!!! You will never get a return phone call if you leave a message so don't even waste your time because it truly is a waste of time. It's weird though because Dr. Paulsen, Dr. Beasley, and Denise are SO caring. I can't imagine that they wouldn't call someone back so it leaves me wondering if they even get the messages in the first place. I've referred quite a few people to Dr. Paulsen, but every one of them ends up asking me how in the world I deal with her office staff. Sadly, every person I have ever suggested to that they should see her doesn't anymore simply because of the office staff. Now when I tell anyone about her, I have to explain how wonderful Dr Paulsen is but only once you get past the front desk. That's sad! That's a problem!!! And I hope they read these reviews and change something!

Very caring and concerned (at first). then they forget abou you and the medications you take, and if u remind them they either accuse you of trying to get more prescriptions or they will not answer you. After 6 months of that bs I said open your "fking" chart on me and you will see that you forgot to write a prescription and that there is no evidence of prescription abuse. They told me to go to another doctor. All bc they did not do their job correctly

I love the doctors at this practice, but the big woman who works at the front desk is extremely rude. I switched insurance providers and got a bit upset when I came in and found out I had to pay for my visit out of pocket. For some reason other doctors at the practice had been able to accept my new insurance and gone through the trouble of accepting the provider, but not the one I was seeing that day. This woman had the nerve to sit behind her glass window and talk about me to others in the office. I of course heard every rude word she said. I was only trying to understand why my insurance was not being accepted by the doctor- how dare I inconvenience her to do her job. Good customer service matters a lot to me, it doesn't take much to treat people right. I will unfortunately be switching doctors.
