I PLACED ALL MY CHILDREN THERE AND ITS WORTH EVERY $, THEY ARE CARED FOR AND WATCHED AT ALL TIMES. ITS VERY CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF. THIS IS A VERY SAFE ENVIRONMENT TO PUT YOUR CHILDREN AND I RECOMMEND IT !!!

I rated this child care center at 3 stars because I felt it was just okay. Mrs. Libby, on the other hand, who was my daughter's teacher (age 2 class), deserves a 5 star rating because she was fantastic! She did a wonderful job the entire year that my daughter attended the center. She gets to know all of her students on a pesonal level and goes above and beyond to make each child feesl like a family member to her. Not only that, but each day, she would stop whatever she was doing to talk with me about my daughters day as well as just small talk on a friendly level.She really took the time to get to know my daughter, and used money out of her own pocket to bring in things of interest for her specifically. She has helped my daughter grow so much, and she will be missed! She was the main reason we stayed for the year. The next teacher my daughter would have gone to in the age 3 class was not as impressive. Although she seemed nice, she did very little talking, and my daughter never seemed to enjoy being in her class during what they call transitioning for those who would be turning three soon. My daughter would run to me and be ready to go home in that class. Sometimes she didn't want to leave when I arrived in Mrs. Libby's class to take her home. And Mrs. Libby allowed her to stay and finish up what she was doing everytime with no rush. As far as the director and office staff go, while friendly, seemed to have a reason to call me atleast once a week for something silly. An example of that is they have a policy where children can wear no open toed shoes. My daughter was wearing crocks, and I was called 3 times at work that day to bring her tennis shoes although her shoes were not open toed at all....and I work about 45 minutes from the center so it was not easy for me to just swing by to bring her shoes. Also, if you are even one day late on your payment, the office staff calls your phone several times a day, and rushes up to you as soon as you walk in to ask about payments. If my payments were on time (which was 95 percent of the time), they almost didnt talk to me at all. The center was always clean, and they used aeroma therapy as well as soft instrumental music upon walking in the door which I always found to be pleasant after a long work day. Sometimes, though, the door to the facility would be unlocked leaving it open for just anyone to walk in. I am not sure I would sent my daughter back here since she would be in a new classroom and under the supervision of a new teacher (she turns 3 this july). But Mrs. Libby was great, and I would suggest this center for anyone that would be under her direct care!

For the likes of this child care provider, the Sunshine House was very unprofessional....while my child was enrolled there, she came down with a blood bacteria infection, this child care provider is also very slow at getting appropriate paperwork that the parents will need to do their income taxes, we found ourselves driving there several times just to get the papework.... Some of the teachers are very rude, and ie in the mornings when you drop your child off, they wanted you to complete a sheet regarding the child.....(I was like I don't have time for all this b/c I am trying to manage getting to a job and balancing child care along with my work routine)....they will take your diapers and place them on another child, and also they will keep calling you off your work for some non-emergency issues...complaining to me that my child had feces on her brand new shoes, where as the child was only just one years old...I am like, How did feces get on her shoes, if your the provider, has not supervised the child well, and not changed her pampers on time......really????? , I was not impressed with the services from the Director, Audry, which seems to have a caked baked on her face (plastered make up), where as I was trying to have a professional conference to discuss another issue where as the teacher allow my daughter to ram her head into a cedar classroom door....... and then they became angry with me when I reported them to the Regional Sunshine Office....... To any parent, don't send your child here.......its not the worth the risk of the constant headaches, worrying, and being called off to leave work b/c there's always a problem with the child at the sunshine house.......
