I knew something was missing when I saw my first pediatric Allergy patient during my Allergy/Immunology rotation, and ever since then I wanted to treat patients from all ages. I enjoy treating babies so that they can grow up to be healthy and strong kids. Then, I can manage children so that they go through childhood without worrying about their chronic problems. Eczema
Also, studies have shown that early treatment for allergies with immunotherapy can slow or even stop the “allergic march,” and in some cases can keep people from developing asthma. Allergies often start in early childhood as eczema or allergic rhinitis, but then “march” through the body, ending with the development of asthma.
