Joe's Crab Shack

Today was me and my fiancee'first time trying out Joe's Crab Shack we weren't at all satisfied. The waiter was unfriendly. The food looked nothing like the menu food. It had no taste it was extra greasy. We had to swap out items to replace other items. The best thing there was the sweet tea. And to add to the bad service we received and disgusted food. The grease they used had to be old all of the fried food was extra greasy and fried different colors. The fish looked like it was chewed on. We all fell sick afterwards and are currently sick now. Never again will I spend $$$ at this establishment. It was the worst and I guess it's called the crankshaft for a reason bc that's what everyone seemed to be getting I'm mad we decided to get platters. Then to add to that after the poor customer service the waiter thought he was getting a tip. As we left he followed us out the door and said something smart out his mouth. This place needs to be reevaluated.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. My husband and I ate there last evening for the first time and we will definitely be going back. Service was terrific, not only didn't we have to wait for service, we had 3 people ask if our drink order had been taken yet, we hadn't even been waiting for longer than 3 minutes. The food came out in a very reasonable time and it was steaming hot and delicious, waiter checked in on us several times during dinner to see if we needed anything else. Will definitely be coming back! Loved it!

Myself and 3 of my co workers came from CT to do some work in the area and decided to try Joe's crab shack (big mistake). We were seated and the restauraunt was not too busy 10 minutes went by before our waitress even came to our table so we put in our drink orders and waited and waited and waited. Finally 30 minutes later our waitress came but no drinks she claimed there was only one bartender in that night and she was behind. "Really it took her 30 minutes to get back to our table" so we then put in our food orders. An additional 15 minutes went by and still no drinks food or waitress so we all got up and stormed out. I worked in food service for 7 years and never saw this much incompetence at a restauraunt in my life. I'm not saying I wouldn't ever go to a Joe's crab shack ever again that just left a bad taste in mouth.

We ordered at 5:15 and my children's soups came at at 5:45 and our dinner was NEVER brought out to us. So, at 6pm the waitress said "I am sorry but we are short in the kitchen" . Yet other people were getting their meals, so we were there for at 1hr before I decided it was time to talk with a manager because a table of 9 who came in after us got their meals in a decent time. So the manager came out to us,(15 min after requesting to talk with one) we were already almost out the door, she said let me see what your order was and I will get it for you to go but guess what? She can't read an order because one meal was missing and no butter or anything else was with the meals. This was Hunt Valley MD and we came from PA to eat there. I will contact the corporate tonight or the morning also. NEVER AGAIN and the food was not even great for that price. I got to eat my dinner cold. She did comp the meals but they were cold and she gave me coupons: like I want to go back there.

I will stick with Giant and buy my seafood from them. Can't wait to visit Florida
