Shane's Rib Shack

Sad to say, Shane's Rib Shack of Iowa is no more. Call the number now and says some new business is coming this fall. Loved Shane's, was good BBQ.

There are very few places that have a gluten free menu, and if they do they don't always take special care to provide the extra effort it takes to keep the gluten free food from cross-contamination. Shane's was excellent in this area and they have a large variety of menu items for those that need to eat a gluten free diet. The food is excellent! Thank you for a great experience! My new favorite place. Oh, and the sweet tea is awesome!

The sweet tea here is just like what you would get in the south. The BBQ is good and moist but not the best I have ever had, however, I enjoy going to bbq contests so I have had some amazing bbq. It is a great place for lunch and the price is right!

I bring in a lot of catering for clients and Shanes is the most dependable caterer I have ever used. I've probably used them 30 times, and they have never been late, they've never messed up an order, they've never made me look bad, and the same two people have delivered every one for the past year and a half. I have called them with less than an hour to spare when I get a last minute lunch, and they've always shown up without question.

More of a fast food BBQ place than an evening restaurant, but great food. If you go for lunch expect it to be busy.

Anybody who knows good BBQ knows its all about the sauce. Shane's sauce is the best I've ever had! Tangy, just a little sweet, not too thick, just a little pepper. Man, I'm hungry just thinking about it! The ribs are awesome, but their pork and brisket are just out of this world! Seriously, I don't know how they do it, but it's just the best I've ever had. It's worth the drive, and I pass a bunch of BBQ places to get there, but it's worth it! Plus, the gals who work there are really friendly.
