Coconut Cove All Suites Resort

Booked a room paid in advance got left standing in the street hotel management refused to help hung up on me.. that's customer service folks

BEWARE!!! My mother is coming for cancer treatment in Tampa and so a month ago I booked this "Resort" for our stay. We knew we needed a larger place with a kitchen, wanted it to be beach-side, and a great atmosphere to recoup in. After driving all the way from Jacksonville on 11/30 we arrived in Clearwater .... we drove around the block twice without finding this place, because of the difference from the ACTUAL place and the online picture. This "resort" had complete false advertising on their website!!! When we arrived at 7:40 I was shocked, it looked like a Motel 6 that I would never ever stay at. It was dumpy, small, stuck between 2 major roads, and squished directly next to a liquor store. Online it stated: Clearwater Beach Suites - Steps from the Ocean; an all-suites RESORT (this place is far far far from a resort. It is most definitely a MOTEL) with an outdoor pool & waterfall (yes it does, and that was the only thing nice!) and easy access to white sand beaches (yes if you want to walk across a 2 lane road...and then walk through a block of tall buildings that are ACTUALLY on the beach). And "spacious suites" is a deceptive statement, our tiny room had absolutely no space; and it looked nothing like the picture on their website!!!! The ceilings were very low, it smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom was absolutely gross and outdated! Beware, the online pictures are a lie!!!! On the website it talks of free coffee and tea in "lobby." We drove around the building twice to FIND the lobby. Which was a little room with a desk sitting in the middle of it. I was also told there was a parking fee added to every day's rent (which is normal for a nice establishment); when I arrived I found the parking "garage" to actually be an open parking lot located underneath the motel rooms!!! If you look at the picture online of their pool, they took the picture from a perspective that doesn't show that a parking lot surrounds the entire pool area!!!
After all this, I of course refused to stay there with my mother and got a refund for the entire month that I had previously purchased. I would never stay here, and warn everyone that the online photos are completely inaccurate.
