Our Kitchenaide dishwasher had poor quality plastic parts for the upper roller basket and bracke that had failed.
I’m an old retired guy and hadn’t been to the Servall parts place in over 25 years. I brought my dishwasher manual and even the defective roller basket.
There’s the solid white cement block wall I remembered for Servall parts, they are still in business!! I walked in with the basket with roller assembly, owner manual and then felt like a deer in the headlights….. Kaitlyn (sp) one of the counter persons, was available to help me and suggested I put the basket down on an adjacent table. Her question was what model? I smiled and smartly got my owner manual. The Kitchenaide manual didn’t identify the dishwasher model number! My confidence level was falling apart…. Kaitlyn brought the the KA dishwashers on the computer and I identified the one it resembled. We were making progress…. Then a present commercial service contractor said the re-furb kits were the same for Kitchenaide, Whirlpool….. Kaitlyn brought a re-furb kit box to the counter. I asked if the parts were compatible……? Kaitlyn popped the box open and we compared parts to my basket. The commercial service contractor said the kit would work. Kaitlyn went on-line to find a U-Tube repair video for the kit….. The video covered my re-furb unit. Kaitlyn wrote down the u-tube website with the detailed directions. She took the time to make sure the re-furb kit would work and the “old guy” customer was comfortable with the repair. The re-furb roller kit had a large number of parts requiring assembly. Kaitlyn made sure I had the u-tube assembly website essential to completing the KA basket roller repair.
