To begin with our arrival - as many others have pointed here, the shuttle didn't arrive on time on the Metro station. It came after 20 minutes I called them. Secondly, when I got to the room, I see that they had put us in a smoking room (I was traveling with family including old folks). The whole floor (2nd floor) smelled of cigarette smoke. Not just that, there was an ash tray in the room with ash in it! There were a pair of sunglasses lying next to the ash tray, lots of news papers, used soaps & trash!! When I called the help desk, they sent someone to clean the room but said that it's supposed to be non-smoking room so they don't know what happened!!
ANyway, the next morning when I complain, the hotel manager (or the owner) tells me that that floor is supposed to be a smoking floor..well, therefore, he will move us to another room. I asked him so when do I move the stuff (I was leaving for sightseeing that morning & didn't want to waste time moving). He said, I can do that when i get back in the evening.
When I arrive to the hotel in the evening, I go upto the desk & tell the woman there that my room was supposed to be changed so i need the keys to the new room. She of course wasn't aware of that & after some confusion found the keys & the new room info. She didn't tell me anything about our luggage being moved.
When i walk up to our new room, I open the door & see that the bathroom lights were on & there were some bags on the bed. I thought there was someone in the room. Without going further inside the room, I call the help desk & tell them what I saw. The help desk woman got a little stressed & didn't know whose stuff it was. We go back to our old room & there is someone else in our room!! The guy won't let us in.
It turns out that the new room had our stuff. To be noted: When I had left that day in the morning all our personal belongings was all over the room. It was quite unsettling to see that some strangers went though our personal stuff and moved it without our knowledge!
Next morning, I happen to see the manager again & tell him politely about the last night's ordeal. Well, I don't know what to say - he literally fought with me saying disrespectful things!! It was soo horrifying - I have never had such a bad experience in any hotels. Poor management, bad snotty attitude & unkempt hotel - that's what it is and they don't even know how to please the customer after all this!! Can you believe that someone is running a business in this manner in this day and time! Please avoid this place at any cost.
It's at no cost a 'comfort' inn.
