        Overall

        What a great experience. We came to celebrate a birthday with our family. The company was able to have all of our wanted groceries set in the cabin along with a birthday cake and balloons. What a fun surprise to walk into the house to the festivities. CMV has a great concierge service and Amber help set up all of our tubing, fishing and rafting appointments. This is truly a one stop shop with a beautiful cabin to boot. Will definitely come stay again!

        Terrible company. The house was beautiful, but unfortunately it had a mouse problem... which my fiance and I discovered in the middle of the night when we heard noises in the master bedroom and turned on the lights to investigate. There was a mouse eating some sort of food (which had not been cleaned up by housekeeping before our arrival apparently) under the dressers. After screaming and chasing the mouse around, it finally was shooed out the door outside. Once we settled down and got back to sleep, we heard more sounds 45 min later! It was a mouse AGAIN running around the room in circles before disappearing into the cracks of the room. It's obvious to say that we got no sleep that night.



        The next morning we found mouse droppings all over the house and took pictures to show management. When management was alerted about the mice and the unsanitary nature of the house, they refused to believe it and dismissed our claims. (Even AFTER we emailed them photos of the mouse feces in the living room!) Their lack of customer service and customer concern is disheartening. We USED to like Carolina Mountain Vacations a lot. Not anymore. After numerous back and forth emails with the manager regarding the issue that spanned over the course of weeks, she so "generously" decided to give us 20% off our next stay as a compensation.... Well, no thanks. I don't think so. I'd rather have a full refund. Paying over $600 for two nights in a mouse infested house is absolutely ridiculous. I could stay at the Grove Park Inn and get a spa treatment for that much money.



        The weekend was horrendous and the service was equally horrendous. I would warn anyone from renting from Carolina Mountain Vacations. BAD company.
