Compassionate Critter Care Veterinary Hospital

I think that this is the most amazing veterinary hospital in kitsap county. I had a wonderful old boy pitbull terrier named Chico who was very ill. I was heartbroken with the state he was in, Dr. Crawford and his staff were the best. We had little money to get our baby seen. They took us in and ran the tests. They gave us options on payments and were willing to work with us 100% and explained what was going on with our boy. When it came down to it our boy just had far too much working against him and we made the non-pressured decision to see him off to sleep. They gave us all the time we needed with him to say our goodbyes (which was after the vet closed) Dr. Crawford was the most caring person and said the nicest things to our boy as he passed on. From that moment on I refuse to take my animals anywhere else as long as I live in Kitsap County. This Vet actually cares about the animals he treats!

This was my first and last visit to this clinic. The office was run-down and dirty looking. My first contact was with, come to find out, the 2 business managers working the reception desk. I was not acknowledged when I came in (there was only one other person in the lobby), and when I approched the counter, neither one seemed to know what they were doing. They were disorganized, rude and not very well trained. As I was waiting for my appointment, more people were comming in getting the same unacceptable treatment. Finally almost an hour later, I was called into a room (again, dirty looking), where after a brief talk with the Assistant, I waited another half of an hour for the Doctor to come in. I was absolutely not impressed by the Doctor. He was hurried and was not very friendly. All I came in for was a simple exam, pick up some Frontline and to have his ears looked at (my dog is a very healthy 4 year old Lab). After having a swab taken from his ears, the Doctor said he had a yeast infection and would need daily medicine and twice a day cleaning. That would be fine except this place didnt have either one!! I had to get both from another clinic!! They also had NO flea products of any kind!! What kind of "Veterinary Hospital" doesnt have basic medications or flea control products!! That along with the POOR service I recieved at the front counter, I would NOT recommend this place. There are better facilities, staff and Doctors at other comparatively priced clinics.
