RL is awesome! He loves running and people! This review is 2 years overdue. I walked into his shop in late 2011 after having collapsed arches which had caused pain for over a year, to the point of not being able to even walk for exercise. I had tried professional orthotics from my well trusted Chiropractor to no avail, my metatarsal area would be in instant pain in ANY shoe I stepped into. I was depressed and even scared for my future health and sanity as weight began to replace miles being run!I threw down another wad of $ for his orthotics and over the first year he reshaped them as my arches were being built back up to accommodate my physical changes at least 4 times, NO charge, it was part of his guarantee and my initial investment. After one year of getting better with his custom orthotics I was able to get to the point of wearing them less than half of my leisure time and not at all during exercise. What was to be my 5th reshaping session for the orthotics he introduced me to Altra shoes and I have been permanently out of my orthotics since walking out of his shop with the new shoes. I have moved to AZ, but continue to either order by phone through him or visit as time permits. This guy gave me hope when I had less than none. Hope, not only that I would live without pain, but that I would actually be running again! I average 3 miles up to five days a week, back to a moderate and enjoyable pace and distance.
