Blountsville Elementary School, located in Blountsville, Ala., offers educational and extracurricular programs to children from grades six through eight. The school, established in 1965, is affiliated to the Blount County Board of education. The school s curriculum comprises of English, mathematics, chemistry, graphic art, photography, social sciences, history, music, foreign languages, career and technical education and computer education. The sporting activities offered include football, volleyball, wrestling, chess, soccer, baseball, softball and athletics. Blountsville Elementary School is a community school, one of seven elementary schools within the Blount County School System. The school offers various services, such as a library, student services and summer programs. Its students services department promotes a supportive environment and strengthens the working relationships between students, faculty and families.
