Bethel Park Animal Clinic

I have taken 3 of my pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) here over the course of the last several months and have had nothing but great service. I have recommended this clinic to several people, and they have been very happy. I always find the staff to be friendly and genuine (even when my dog peed on them). The doctor is knowledgeable and kind, and tries to keep costs in check (which doesn't mean the visits are cheap, especially the labwork; but that is the case wherever you are). Maybe the bunny owner got them on a bad day. They do have interns there, so there may be someone learning at the time you are there, but the doctor is there to supervise. I highly recommend!

I decided to take one of my bunnies here for a toenail trim when my parents were taking the family dog. Reception was callous and rude, I wish I had left then. it's obvious the techs have little to no experience with rabbits or people for that matter. First, they held him in a way that is extremely stressful for a rabbit. (rabbits nails are normally clipped with them lying on the table because it's not as stressful that way.) then to add insult to injury they wouldn't let me even touch him to comfort him or cover his eyes while they were clipping his nails. They made me feel like a little kid who needed to be put into place. ( I'm an adult and I don't appreciate being made to feel that way.) as I was leaving I was holding back tears, the pure panic in my bunnies eyes as they clipped his nails was so different from they way he acts when my regular vet treats him. I will NEVER go back here with a rabbit even though I can walk to it.
