We called because we thought our gas valve was not working. Chris came over the same night we called him! He was able to get it apart, cleaned out and back up and running. We were expecting the worst and were very happy with the service and his knowledge. The first quote we got from another company was for $1,000+ to replace a part that was fine.We already have him scheduled to come back out for a maintenance cleaning.

If i could rate lower than 1 star i would..Christopher Steffens "manger" sold & installed a Junk YORK Guardian model furnace and A/C to my 70 yr old mother. And replaced a 90% efficient (good working) furnace with a 80% efficient unit( not as good); Install took over 2 week's they "installed" A/C Comp (outside)_ A/C A-coil & L.P. furnace inside..THAT'S IT!!! 3 PIECES... 1 DAY INSTALL THEY SAID..over 2 weeks later they were still coming out & "finishing" it up they were not gone 3 full day's & outside A/C unit (compressor) leaked all Freon they came out every other day for another 2 weeks to recharge system instead of replacing at once.. wanted to "REBUILD" unit i said i did not purchase a "rebuilt" one & wanted a brand new one. TWO more week's later showed up with new one (from jul/sept that took) problem solved? NO!!! Nov2014 furnace sounds like a kerosene-Jet fuel heater Michael Scott Steffens.Sr & Christopher Stephens said they had to contact "Bob" @ Johnson Controls (YORK) they came back a week later hit some stuff with hammer did not see or hear from them for almost a year (called over & over very rude office personal) Winter 2015 (late Dec.)Just showed up without calling 7-8am (to see if any one @ home) with "Bob"regional service manager @ Johnson controls(YORK) (no call & early in hopes no one awake or @ home)Bob said would re place with 90% unit had to check with regional office(no problem bob said) & replace a 50yr old leaking flu pipe that should have been replaced on install... And they left..Michael Scott Steffens,Sr came back out again in 2016 to take pics??? 10 months NO CONTACT NIL have tried calling all we get is ill tempered and overly RUDE receptionist. "BOB" @ Johnson Controls Inc. Or Mike Steffens Sr.& Cris Steffens @ Barnhart Heat &cooling DO NOT seem to CARE about there RETIRED OR ELDERLY CUSTOMERS... For your own sake & the sake of your loved ones ... DO NOT USE EITHER ONE OF THESE COMPANIES I HOPE YOU CAN LEARN FROM OUR MISERY .!!

"The worst customer service ever"

I had an appointment for them to fix my furnace and they never showed. It was 15 degree's outside and I had no heat. I gave up tickets to a show that I paid for in order to be home. The tickets to the Fox were $50 each. My appointment window was 5-7pm and I called them at 7:30 and a woman on the line told me they were running behind that it would be past 10pm or later. All she said was sorry and offered nothing for my trouble. I explained to her about giving away my tickets and being left here in the cold and she said sorry again and hung up on me. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE FORGOT OR HAD NO INTENTIONS OF EVER COMING! If I could give less than "0" stars I would. Now I have to wait until Monday to have someone come out.....
