General Info: Metro Networks, also known as Shadow Broadcast Services, is one of the largest traffic gathering and reporting operations in the world. Its network is made up of more than 2,000 reporters, over 65 fixed-wing aircraft, nearly 35 helicopters and numerous traffic cameras. Metro Networks operates through more than 60 operation centers located throughout the United States. It provides a range of local content to the radio and television industries, including news, sports, weather, traffic, video news services and other information. Metro Networks is a part of Westwood One, which broadcasts more than 150 news, sports, music, talk and entertainment programs. Westwood One serves more than 5,000 radio stations and is managed by CBS Radio.
