Overall
Earlier today, a friend and I ...

Earlier today, a friend and I visited the Jimmy John's restaurant located on North Quincy Street. After being very nicely greeted by the staff, we placed our order to go, and headed out to eat.

When I placed my order, I asked for no onions on my Vito sandwich. After my friend and I finishing placing our order, I again asked for no onions on my sandwich. Apparently, I made it so clear that I did not want onions, the man who prepared my sandwich joked "you wanted extra onions, rights?" as he handed me the sandwich to which I responded "no, I said no onions.”

As you can probably guess, when I return to work with my friend to eat lunch, I take a bite of my sandwich and there are onions. Sure enough, I open the sandwich, move the lettuce to the side, and there are onions.

But that isn’t really the problem – mistakes happen. I immediately call the store, inform them of the mistake, and ask for a refund. I speak with a woman by the name of Jessica, who says she is the manager/store owner.

Jessica kindly listens to what I have to say, but refuses to issue me a refund; instead, she insists that I must personally return the $5 sandwich back to the store because the preparer is "sure" he did not put onions on my sandwich.

I reject the condition and insist that the store refund my order. The manager absolutely refuses. Besides being far enough away that returning to the store for a $5 refund is not worth my time or effort, it is the principal of the matter. The store made the mistake and the store should make it right. Until then, my policy will be to not return to Jimmy Johns.

Catherine, I will say this yet again: I offered to personally drive TO WHERE YOU WERE to pick up the sandwich and bring you your refund (so you could sign the refund receipt) and you refused this offer. Instead, you have been creating fake profiles/fake reviews and harassing us all over the Internet. Why? What do you hope to accomplish with this? Despite your complaint on another website, business owners don't have the power to remove posts from Yelp/Google/YP/Facebook/Twitter etc. If we did, the site would be pointless and everybody would have five stars. To be honest - most people would probably agree that to get your money back for something (whether it's a sandwich or a pair of jeans) the product should be returned. Those same people would most likely be pleasantly shocked if a business offered to come to them in order to pick up the mistake, bring a corrected product, AND bring their money back. We care about your business and did absolutely everything we could to fix it for you. At this point, all of the false profiles and incomplete reviews are bordering on slander and defamation.
