Dillard's

The black lady in women's clothing on the third floor was one of the most wonderful and considerate people we have worked with in the store. She helped with a return and she went out of the way to be kind, helpful, and considerate. The lady we met with in your facility was good at her job and made us feel welcome. Vernon Cross

I wouldn't even rate them a 1. Very dissapointing. Sales people are not helpful. They stand around and talk. They are not knowledgable. I also called about a fragrance that was suppose to have a gift with purchase and nobody new anything about it. I left a message for the cosmetic manager who never called back. I went to the store hoping to find it. The fragrance dept. was filthy and everybody was standing around talking. I wanted to smell a fragrance, stood there a while, nobody came, no tester to try was on the counter and no cards. How do you sell a fragrance like that. I asked to see the manager; however, it turns out she was getting a makeover. I went to Macy's found what I was looking for in the fragrance dept. and I bought some shoes and a swim suit.

I like to shop at Dillard's. It's quiet without the ridiculous loud vulgar music, the decor is soothing for a shopping trip. They offer quality merchandise, other reviewers think it's too expensive - fine, go shop at walmart. Other reviewer said if Dillard's treated it's employees better it would reduce "theft, etc" --- an unhappy employee is entitled to STEAL ? What moral compass is that? If an employee doesn't like their job, exert the effort to speak to management or go find another job .... or be happy you have a job in this crummy economy. And no, I don't work for Dillard's management - I'm just very tired of whiners and people who feel "entitled" !!!!

The menswear and mens shoes department is great at this location. They are patient, friendly, and very helpful. I continue to go back when I am in need of something formal. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality clothing you are getting and I was able to find several large sales going on. Suits at 30% - 60% off the original price. Definitely recommend them!

I called them the first time last week and spoke with a women who was not very friendly at all, she was very dry and had NO personality, she gave me some quotes and after shopping around a bit I decided I liked the idea of Dillard's the best (I am planning a cruise for my honeymoon). So I called back yesterday and spoke with a lady who was with a client and she said she would call me back...she called back about 20 minutes later and said she would have to call me tomorrow morning she was just to busy to get my information because she was about to leave for the day (NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT IT WAS COOL). So I waited and never recieved the call this morning, so I called this morning and they same lady I spoke with the first time answered and as soon as she picked up the phone her exact words were "Dillards travel is busy what is your number ill call you back!!!!) WOW I wonder who taught them business phone etiquette? I explained to her my situation and she informed me that she didnt know who I talked to and was busy she would call me back! I would think there would be more then one person who can help customers but maybe not.. THE ONLY REASON I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT USING DILLARDS IS BECAUSE i AM REGISTERED WITH DILLARDS AND WE ARE ON A HONEYMOON REGISTER AS WELL AS A GIFT REGISTRY AND THIS WOULD MAKE IT EASY FOR MY GUESTS TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR HONEYMOON IF THEY WANTED SINCE DILLARDS ARE LOCATED ALL OVER THE METRO PLEX AS TO THE OTHER TRAVEL AGENCY I LOCATED IS NOT.

As another reviewer mentions, the items are pricey and I've found that if I keep looking elsewhere I can find it cheaper or at least discounted with a sale or coupon. The help acts like I'm from another planet when asking when the sales are noted in the local paper... Oh Well, Their loss of revenue! Window shopping it'll be if we, my girlfriends included, visit there at all!
