        Founded in 1997, Earth Sangha is a social service and charitable organization focusing on ecological restoration. Based in Fairfax, Va., the firm manages an ecological restoration program in the Washington D.C. area to restore native forests and meadows, stabilize streams and control alien plants. It also operates the Tree Bank, which assists impoverished farmers to improve their incomes and restore forest. In addition to environmental work, Earth Sangha hosts meditation sessions in the Washington D.C. area, along with discussions about the traditional Buddhist teachings.
