Melvin Ruff, Trustee: Melvin grew up with the hybrid seed corn business started by his father Herb in 1936. His long-term acquaintance with hybrid production practices has provided him with the knowledge required to package a top quality product. Melvin supports the idea that the customer comes first. Allan Reid, General Manager: Allan has worked for Ruff's Seed Farms for 30 years, initially as sales manager and then as General Manager. Allan believes in a commitment to improve his customer's bottom line with stronger hybrids, quality product and better service. He says, "The right seed with service built in ; that's my promise." Ruff's Seed Farms continues to offer farmers top yielding corn hybrids and soybean varieties. Their continual testing program results in the on-going introduction of new products that will contribute to additional profits for their customers. Ruff's Seed Farms is a family owned and operated, full line seed company located near the farming community of Amanda, Ohio, in Fairfield County. Our company was started in 1936 by Herbert N. Ruff, one of the early leaders in hybrid seed corn development in Ohio, dedicated to producing top quality seed. We have continued that tradition by offering farmers top yielding corn hybrids as well as Ohio Certified soybeans and wheat varieties along with an extensive line of proprietary beans and wheat.
