Allsup's

Allsups stores are not in compliance with ADA federal law or New Mexico State law concerning disabled/handicap parking spaces. They make their disabled people park furthest away from the store entrances. Three of the stores in Alamogordo have no markings at all for handicap parking and all 4 stores have no vertical signs establishing where the handicap parking spaces are. The store at 822 N. Scenic has a handicap stencil painted on the pavement but no vertical sign and this handicap parking spot is right where the semi trucks back up to unload, this makes the handicap space very hazardous for it's occupants. All handicap people will have to park furthest away from their store entrance and you will find one that doesn't even have a proper ramp for those in wheelchairs. Corporate headquarters takes no responsibility in these violations and pawns the problem off on regional managers, who are doing anything about the handicap parking situation. Shame on Allsups Corporation for violating federal and state law. Contact the Governor's Commission on Disabilities to express your concerns with these violations by Allsups Corporation. They are not exempt from these laws.
