        A native West Texan, Dr. Grant was born in Lubbock and lived in the small town of Ralls during his early childhood. He later attended Eastland High School, and graduated in the top of his class at Pottsboro High School in 1998. Looking to become the next big â??Rock Starâ?? (Dr. G is an avid guitar â??pickerâ??, thanks to his Granddadâ??s influence), he graduated with an Associates degree in Sound Technology from South Plains College in Levelland, Tx in 2000.
