Dental Examination
Fear of dental exams or work. You are in good and caring hands here. They listened to my situation and needs and took the time to make me feel comfortable and informed about everything. Best dentist experiences of my life for two years running now! I used to feel panic and dread just making a dentist appointment, but now I walk in the Kimbrough office with confidence every time.
X-rays
Make sure and bring your medical or dental insurance information, as well any dental x-rays or referral information. Please let us know if you have any medical conditions that may be of concern prior to treatment (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, medication allergies, etc.), if you are currently on any medications, or if you require medication prior to dental cleanings.

Dental Sealants
The most likely location for a cavity to develop in your child’s mouth is on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. Dental sealants are invisible plastic resin coatings that smooth out the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, making them resistant to decay. They are a quick and easy solution for preventing cavities.

Fillings
Resin Composite
We are a mercury-free practice, and place Composite Resins, or tooth-colored fillings. These fillings are made with a resin material that blends into the tooth, so the filling is virtually invisible. They can be used on either front or back teeth.
Veneers
This case is a long time patient of the practice. While at work he broke his front tooth. We wanted to restore the tooth in the least invasive possible way. Instead of crowning the tooth, we decided to do a minimal prep partial veneer. Matching any restoration to to the adjacent front tooth is one the most difficult esthetic challenges we face. By doing a partial porcelain veneer, very little additional tooth structure was removed, and the best possible esthetics were possible.
Crowns
They have a milling machine in house for crowns, so you are able to get them done the same day which is super nice. All of the rooms for procedures have TVs. They even offered me a blanket when I was there for the crown. The staff are all super nice and they are usually able to get you in quickly.
Bridges
If tooth loss happens, the teeth surrounding it can loosen, and even lead to further tooth loss. When a tooth is missing, the bone itself can begin to shrink, and eventually change the way the jawbone supports the lips and cheeks. A dental bridge will hold your other teeth in place, and make everyday activities such as eating and talking easier.
Dental Bonding
Tooth Bonding is a popular treatment because it provides a successful attachment between the filling material and the tooth’s original enamel and dentin. It looks like the original tooth and functions like it as well.

If your child requires specialized treatment, such as braces, we can refer them to a specialist, or may recommend they see a pediatric dentist (someone who specializes in treating children). Sometimes our patients take their children to a pediatric dentist when they are young, but then they transition to our office when they have “outgrown” their pediatric dentist, and are ready to visit a family dentist instead.

As much as we’d like for this to be true, over the counter whitening toothpastes simply cannot whiten the teeth. This is also true of other common whitening systems, such as at-home trays and whitening strips.
