Pho Pasteur

Three of us dined Wednesday night 10/07 around 6:00PM. We ordered fried shrimp with garlic and butter, beef and broccoli, combo soft noodle with veggies, meat and shrimp.

- all suffered serious inadequate seasonings

- the latter 2 dishes were covered with so much glue-like tasteless starchy sauce, no seasoning, inedible. It's the kind of starchy fluid that gave low quality Chinese restaurants bad reputation!

- before ordering, we inquired about the cost for their crispy fish for 3. $44 to $100.

- Many of their dishes cost more than at Phuong Trang, just a few minutes up Convoy street.

Overall, it was a disappointed night out, especially with our daughter visited from the bay area.

Not a place we'll visit again.

I orderd a chicken soup and it had a large hair in it. I called the waiter over , didn't make a big deal about , I mean it happens sometimes right. The waiter was very nice and said he would bring me a new one I said I would take it to go he said not to worry he would take it off my bill which would be expected right. well the manager followed him back to the kitchen and told him to still charge me for everything so I paid for my hairy soup. I would never give that women one penny of my money ever again. thats not how you run a place at least take my soup off the bill. never again

Do you want a real roasted fish with crunchy skin and yummy sauce? This is the best place in San diego.

you got to try their roasted fish...yum yum yum. their fish is much more juicy and the sauce is tastier than Phuong Trang. Friendly service, i like that!
