        Too Expensive!

        Last week Mr. Rooter came to my house and gave me a bid on installing a pressure gauge and a ball valve. They quoted me $1,025.00. They tried to pressure me into accepting the bid by stating that the pressure gauge was over $200.00 and they were not charging me for the parts and labor on the ball valve. Of course, I couldn't have the work done at that price.



        I called another plumber and they put in the pressure gauge and ball valve, plus they inserted copper piping. They also put in a new hose bib and copper piping on my water faucet in the back yard. Total cost....$318.00.
