Sumo Japanese Steakhouse

I've visited this location a dozen times when it used to be Benihanna. So I was excited to try them out.

Pros: The food is decently priced for the show/food. It still has the Benihanna sauces and food character.

Overall: The fried rice and my teriyaki chicken were just as expected so I will definitely be going back.

I have to recommend the upgrade from the regular rice to the chicken fried rice! My daughter and I always have a great time. I get the adult steak and she gets the kids chicken. We like to go early because the whole dining experience last about 1.5 - 2 hrs especially if you have a full table

Enjoyed!! Had low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Jessie put on a good show, part of what we were paying for!! The food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and very tasty. And these are shared tables. We enjoyed our dining companions.

Our daughter was scared of the fire, and we kept having to take her out. The manager had the bar make a smoothie for her for being "brave," and we thought that was really sweet.

I was ok not worth the money

been there once and HATED IT!!! it took about 30 min for them to even sit us at the hibachi table, it was not even busy! did'nt understand why? I wish we had left!!but did'nt.when they finally sat us down the chef said they forgot to turn on the grill,and that took another 30mins! when he finally came out and cooked for us......no show at all and the food was terrible!! this place is such a rip off! it's too expensive!!and terrible food felt like we paid $60.00 bucks to get slapped in the face!!don't go there!

Food use to be good back when it first opened, but very lacking now.

The place was hot and the food only fair. I Asked the server what type of tuna and he did not know. He had to go ask someone. They had all the grills going on one side of the room and it was very hot. The other side was cool. Why don't they split up the grills so that customers don't have to sweat while eating. I sent an email before going,after reading other reviews and was assured that the air conditioning was working fine. He said bad reviews were from competitors. I am not a competitor and would recommend finding another Japanese steak house. Also, too expensive for the quality of food.
