Texans Credit Union

Horrible. I've been with Texans since 1982 (when it was Texins - for TI Employees). I've always been a huge fan. However, in the past 5 years it has deteriorated into a horrible banking experience. Their errors are continually resulting in fees for me. Their website and online banking is awful (they even save your security info in browser cache, so any time you clear your cache you have to recertify the whole computer!). I've told them this is not how to store security info, but they don't listen. They have gotten too big and greedy to listen any more. They have shut down most of their locations and I have to drive way too far to get to a surviving ATM machine.



The interest they pay is absurd, their customer service is horrible, they search for ways to charge you fees, their website is mediocre, their locations are very scarce (along with ATMs) and I constantly struggle (around unpublished rules) transferring my money between my Texans accounts!



I would never have thought it would come to this, but after 31 years with them, I will be closing all of my accounts and giving another credit union my business.

Customer Service with this credit union is horrible. I had a transaction clear with Quicktrip in Denton and this bank still would not take the $75 hold off my account. Quicktrip called the bank and was willing to fax paperwork over to the credit union to take the hold off my account and they still would not do it. I finally reached a customer service rep who was able to take the hold off my account and later another customer service manager tried to reverse it again! Texans Credit Union just does not care about it's customers! All they want is to charge you fees!
