The patient is responsible for verifying we are in network with their plan. Patient is also responsible for obtaining referral from Aetna through the patient’s PCP. Hector completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences from St Francis University in Pennsylvania which earned him a commission in the United States Navy. Prior to that he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University.

Mrs. Baird, Certified Physician Assistant, joined Beaches Dermatology in 2006, bringing over nine years of dermatology experience to the practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in health care sciences and PA studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, where she graduated magna cum laude. She also received a Certificate of Proficiency (Specialty) in Internal Medicine. She previously divided her time between Texas and Colorado, but she has been living in the Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra Beach area for over 30 years.

Theresa Trick is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who studied her Doctorate of Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of North Florida. She received her Bachelors in Nursing at Eastern Tennessee State University and has been a Registered Nurse for 8 years. Ms. Trick has experience in neurosurgery, cardiology, and oncology and also has a degree in marketing from Florida State University. Botox
Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles to inhibit repetitive facial expressions, creating a smoother skin surface while eliminating unwanted wrinkle lines. The procedure is administered with a tiny needle and may cause minimal discomfort. Our patients have seen results as soon as a couple of days but can continue to improve for up to 30 days. Botox lasts on average three months but can last up to six months.

Cosmetic Dermatology
Andrea D. Distefano is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cosmetic Dermatology, including injectables and laser procedures. She grew up in Delaware and attended the University of Delaware where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in both Psychology and Nursing. After working in the Operating Room for over ten years, she decided to advance her education and obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Mrs. DiStefano is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Dermatology Nurses Association, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Psoriasis
Julie is proficient at cutaneous skin cancer evaluations including diagnosing and treating basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, and melanomas. Julie utilizes the practice of dermatoscopy in all of her full skin evaluations. She also diagnoses and treats a wide variety of skin conditions including warts, acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
