The McHenry Parks & Recreation Department is a part of the city of McHenry, Ill. It offers athletic, preschool, youth and adult programs throughout the year. It also provides instructional athletic programs that include basketball, gymnastics, tumbling, golf, swimming, t-ball, soccer, tennis and archery. The department also provides fitness programs and yoga. The McHenry Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of special events, including daddy & daughter date night, kid s fishing derby, big wheels race, pool & beach parties, sports equipment resale, preteen jams, Halloween hoopla and holiday activities. The department has several opportunities to assist with special events and recreation events, dance recital, fiesta day s events, day camp, athletics, aquatics and Knox Park Pool special events.
