Went there with our 2000 E46 BMW with the "famous" intermittenet reverse problem. They listed to what I had to say and took the time to research the issue, which allowed them to find the problem (TCC solenoid screen had detached and became lodged in the reverse lockout bore) and fix it permanently the first time, without just throwing parts at it and claiming it was repaired as many places do. The work was very fairly priced as well and the repair was timely. So, if you have a BMW or Cadillac with a 5L40-E transmission, you will eventually have reverse issues and this is the place to go get it fixed the first time.

I found this gem of a repair shop through the many wonderful reviews I read about it online. I live in Boston and keep a second home in Jacksonville, and had always brought my Audi TT to a dealer for service. When my clutch went on me in Jacksonville, I was hesitant as to what to do, as all my contacts are in Boston. Fortunately, I found Action Transmission. This service shop is OUTSTANDING - truly - and I say this for many reasons. First, it is a truly a "family run" business. Robin, his wife and his son I found to be honest and friendly. Second, they did the job in the time they said they would and for the price they said they would. There were no gimmicks and no hidden fees and they were very knowledgeable about the work they were doing and explained it all to me. Finally, I found that the price they did the work for was more than fair. Also, they called me about a week later check to make sure everything was working smoothly. You just do not find this kind of wonderful service shop

Finally, an HONEST and reliable transmission/auto repair shop that doesn't try to rip you off just because you're a woman. Great customer service and very professional. Just down from JU so it was really convenient for me too.
