Wasabi On 82nd Street Japanese Restaurant

We tasted the food and found it unsatisfactory, so we called the waitress and asked to send it back to order something else. Initially the manager offered a credit for 50% of the cost, but we didn't want to spend more. I offered to pay so we could go.The manager said we couldn't apply the credit to the sukiyaki, but we'd have to order more food. I politely told her that I had no problem paying our agreed price, but I wasn't going to order another full-priced entree and "eat" the cost of our sukiyaki. The manager objected, "That would be like giving you a discount." Perceptive.Then the manager threatened to call the police if we didn't "pay our bill." When I worked in a restaurant, if a customer complained I was authorized to give them a discount if that would satisfy them and keep them coming back. I'm never going back. Any manager who fails to satisfy service obligations and then threatens legal action against her dissatisfied customers doesn't deserve my business.

The service was good. The sushi was great and rather well priced. The Mistake rolls are to die for. I would definitely suggest my friends to try Wasabi.
