Dr. Johanna Lynn Rosenthal, MD

This woman saved my daughters and my life. She not only was able to diagnose me with Neuro Lyme disease, which others failed to diagnose and was found in my spinal fluid. She also found a rare condition I suffer from genetically and so do both of my children. My daughter was seen by her for learning disabilities and she ran a few tests and a few of the reflexes were off and she ordered an MRI. They found a tumor in her brain and the neurosurgeons at CHOC were able to fully remove it and told us had Dr Rosenthal not found this so early our daughters life would be drastically different. I am forever indebted to her. She actually listens and cares. I have no idea what these others are talking about. She is an amazing doctor and person.

While I share the view below I did have a few appointments with Dr. Rosenthal. She has no respect for patient's time--always 1hr+ late with no excuse or apology. Even has a sign on her reception desk saying that she runs late due to the nature of her practice...what would that be? delivering babies???She ordered several tests, never bothered reviewing them before seeing me or reading the 6 page patient forms I filled out diligently. She kept asking the same questions I already answered. I had to call again and again to ask about test results she should have disclosed and explained during my visit. She actually called and left a voice mail with all kinds of personal info about my tests and medical issues on a PHONE MESSAGE! she is an absolute baboon. A nut case to say the least. She was more interested in flirting with the poor guy giving me my EEG than discussing my health issues. She lives in the late 70s early 80s which is I am sure the last time she had a hair cut or any activity of any sort. She had the gall to say to me "why are you depressed about your chronic pain? your look great!" what an insensitive idiot! I have NO trust in her medical ability and neither should anyone else. A disgrace to her profession. I wasted so much time and so much money on this has been. She thinks by speaking in a low tone and fast it would appear that she knows what she is doing...smoke and mirrors. Not my first rodeo crazy lady! and certainly not my last with people like Dr. Johanna Rosenthal around.

I am extremely upset about the professionalism of this doctor. She is a crook and I was very disappointed with the care I was given here. This doctor should really reconsider her motives for providing her services, whether its to really serve and help the community or is simply monetarily driven. All I need to say is that after seeing her for a "check-up" where she didn't even bother to take me to the consultation/examination room, rather she "examined" me in 2 seconds standing in the hallway and said I looked fine and there's nothing else. I later received a 300 dollar bill from her for the second checkup she had performed on me. I called the doctor for explanations of how they came to the exaggerated amount of 300 dollars. She was very arrogant and rude and simply responded by saying: YOU were the one that made the appointment! I just want to warn everyone about this crook of a doctor. Please don't be scammed like I did.
