Founded in 1957, Boys & Girls Club of Corpus Christi serves children between the ages 6 and 18. It offers programs in the areas of education; health, life skills and leadership development; and drug, gang and pregnancy prevention. The organization s Project Learn includes activities, such as leisure reading, writing and games for youths cognitive skills development. It also provides mentoring, tutoring and homework assistance services. The organization s athletic programs include a variety of activities, such as kickball, basketball, fireball, hockey and soccer. It also operates several service clubs that offer character development programs for children between the ages of 11 and 13.
