City of Brighton Parks & Recreation department improves the quality of life for residents of all ages by developing and maintaining parks, open space and trails, and public facilities. The department also provides various recreation and senior citizen programs. It offers various facilities on rent for public use at nominal charges, including a senior center, recreation center, park shelters and a church. The recreational center offers various amenities, including sauna and steam room, child care, community rooms, aerobic and dance studio, family locker room, weight rooms, gymnasium, hot tub, and lap pool. It also offers swimming pool, lounge area, racquetball courts, running track, and snack area. City of Brighton Parks & Recreation department also offers classes, trips and travel, drop-in-activities, support groups, senior health clinic, transportation, and lending library and medical equipment lending to the senior citizens of Brighton.
