I kept pushing my self to like Dr. Blanco and his practice. The reason being, he was my pediatrician as a child. Each time I went to the office for whatever reason... shots, check ups, etc.... I thought maybe he was having a bad day, but then each visit was the same. He was unfriendly, didn't remember me, barely took the time with my daughter. I felt like he was annoyed by me asking questions or made me feel foolish for asking. (First time mom BTW)



For my daughters first birthday, we wanted to pierce her ears. I chose Dr. Blanco because again, he pierced my ears as a child. Also, because he was a DOCTOR! I understand that my daughter was going to cry and that it wasn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows.

BUT IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!

After waiting about an HOUR in the room, Dr. Blanco shows up and hasn't even spent 3 minutes with me until YELLING at me how to hold her down and again ANNOYED that she was wiggling. My daughter was screaming and crying like something I have never even heard before and this was BEFORE he pierced her ears!!!!!! IT was BABARIC the way he was trying to hold her down. I would have rather gone to the mall and had a 18 year old teenager pierce her ears with a smile and toys telling her how cute she is.



To top it off, I asked can he check her ears just incase before he goes piercing them. (ps. I paid $100 for the piercing) he looks at me annoyed ( as if I am trying to get away with a free visit or something) tells me, "That's not what your here for", and processed to walk out the door. I had to stop him and tell him that she is not sick, I just want to check before they got pierced. I didn't think that was to much to ask from a DOCTOR. This is why I brought her to a doctor to pierce her ears.



After so many bad experience, I swore to my self she will NEVER be back there. Its a shame because I wanted to like this office so much. Also, we LOVE DR. LASKIS which is part of this practice. But if she isn't available then you are stuck with Dr. Blanco or Wexler... Never happening again!

I have a very bad experience with Dr. Blanco at Boca Raton Pediatric Associates.



First of all, the office is not kids friendly and their staffs have bad attitudes. Dr. Blanco is neither nice nor kind to our baby. He spent only a few minutes with the baby during regular checkups and no much communications with the parents.



Last time we made an appointment with the office to have the vaccination for our baby as a follow up of previous regular visit since last time my son had a fever. So this time we just went there to just get the scheduled vaccination done.



It happened that my son has some mosquito bites on his leg on that day, and the nurse is not sure if this is the right condition to give vaccination so she consulted Dr. Blanco. The Dr. came and just took a look then said to the nurse "you can go ahead". He left immediately without any further examination of these bites, he gave no treatments and even no advices. It's no more than 30 seconds.



And then we received a bill with a charge for a regular office visit. The charge for the vaccination is full covered by my insurance but they should not charge us for a office visit.



I called in to their office to ask why and they said even if it just took the Dr. one second to look (not even examine) at the baby, they have to charge for a regular office visit since the Dr. time is precious. $!#@$!@#



We know it's just a normal mosquito bite so we didn't expect the Dr. to come. It's the nurse who is not certain consulted the Dr.



But the office still insisted a charge on this. Although my insurance can cover most of the cost but I think this is just not right! The office manager said it's not negotiable and will not waive this charge, she also threatened me that they will send this to collection if I don't pay the bill.



It sounds like they are very short of money and they are trying to rob every penny from their patients! That's why their office is not very well maintained!



Well, since the beginning I am not quite satisfied with Dr. Blanco's service and attitude so this time I will definitely switch to a nice and kind Doctor.



So don't choose Boca Raton Pediatric Associates or you will regret like us.
