Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! They took in my truck this morning whichhad a nasty vibration at highway speeds. Axel had the problem diagnosed within 20 minutes (turned out it needed driveshaft u-joints) and within the hour I was back on the road with a smooth riding vehicle. Price was reasonable. Very happy customer. Other shops were qutoing me much more money jut to look at it and they wanted the vehicle for at least a day or two. Again, very happy customer here!

Terrible

I was flying out of Austin at 6:15 am, I was coming in the night before and got to Austin at 10:15. I talked to a guy at the shop and told him my story. I snapped my driveshaft in half and needed a steel one built and found Scotty's on google. I planned on dropping it off the night before my flight and picking it back up when I got back. He said he could meet me up at his shop around 10 or 11 pm so I could drop it off. I called around 7 pm, then again at 8, 9, and so on. I texted him a few times and called a few more. I got to his shop at 10:30 pm. I called a number on the door and a guy answered the phone and was nothing but rude and argued at me that it was late and I was rude for calling. He failed to understand that I was told that I would be taken care of considering my situation. I would have left my old driveshaft at the door but was afraid it would get stolen. Yolks aren't cheap. So now I have a 7 foot long driveshaft that I lugged up here, have to find a new shop to get it fixed at. They wasted my time and made promises they didn't keep. I am beyond upset. I would give no stars if possible. They sound nice but I would recommend doing your business elsewhere.

Took a part to be machined. They cracked the part but put it back together so we didn't know about it until we got it home and saw where it had been cracked. We went back to the place where we bought the first one (not Scotty's) and come to find out they new that had broken it and tried to buy another one but couldn't. And that would have been good if only we had been told the original part had been cracked instead of hiding it. Will never use this place again. I would give no stars if that would be possible.

Ive used Scotty several times for custom driveshafts and its always spot ON ! You cant go wrong, esp when his prices almost always beat out the 'big' names in and around ATX. Dont judge a business by its building, trust me... you can thank me later.

Most people dont need driveshaft repair everyday, but when you do usually you take what you can get. Well let me tell you Scottys can get you great service great pricing. They removed lathed and balanced my driveshaft reinstalled it and even showed and explained how these test are performed. Ive been in alot of shops. I could tell this was family owned and operated, I liked that. Everyone seemed to enjoy their jobs.As I set and wait which wasnt long 1hr during lunchtime. I could tell they really took care of customers. Im not a full fledged mechanic with a big shop. I just needed onetime Driveshaft repair. They still took care of me as a priority. Im recomending Scottys to everyone.

Driveshaft Rebuilt

Very friendly and experienced staff. I needed a driveshaft rebuilt on a Saturday... I needed to get home to Houston and no one in town was open. I called around and no one would do it except Scotty's. I called the owner and he came to the shop without charging me to open it. He understood my dilema and was quick to get started on it. I was very satisfied with my driveshaft and it was cheap. I definitely recommend this place.

Thank You
