This place sucks!

I will never bring my dog back there. There are never enough people in the back with the dogs. 1 person "watching" 45 dogs is not "daycare". I only gave them one star because you have to. They deserve a negative score!

Camp Bow Wow is Irresponsible and Neglectful

I brought my dog to Camp Bow Wow between Christmas and New Years. My dog came in for the interview a few days in advance and everything was fine and he liked it. When I picked up my dog from the interview I noticed that there was a big ball in one of the playgroups. I told them that my dog has played with this type of big ball before, and he can get possessive over it. I asked if it's possible that when I bring him back if they can remove the ball from the playgroup that he's in because I don't want him to get possessive over it, and it could cause problems. They told me that's no problem and they would remove the ball. Also, in the application, they asked if my dog has had any history of not getting along with other dogs. I told them that the only bread of dogs that my dog did not get along with are German Shepherds, and that he gets along great with all other dogs. I mentioned it to them and asked them if he can be placed in groups without German Shepherds. They told me that is fine because in his interview he was with the medium dogs, so they will be able to put him in groups without German Shepherds.

The day I dropped him off, I was looking on the camera in the lobby minutes after I had dropped him off, and I noticed he was playing with this big ball. The person working was different from the person working before, and I mentioned to him the same thing about the big ball, and about German Shepherds. He told me that is fine, and he will make note of it to others.

The next day, I received a phone call from Camp Bow Wow that my dog was bitten. I asked them how it happened. She told me that he was playing with this big ball, and got in a fight with a German Shepherd.

Because they never took him to the veterinary hospital until the day after the fight happened, the wound became infected. He needed to have surgery. The wound was very deep. He received 17 staples in his back leg. The staples were actually just removed today and he is still healing, but healing just fine.

When I came to pick up my dog, I told them that I don't want to pay the whole bill. I felt that they had been neglectful to my dog by telling me that they can adhere to my requests, but instead fail to adhere to any of the requests, and by failing, causing my dog to need surgery. They told me if I don't pay then they will not give me my dog back. I called the cops on them. The cops came and settled it, and I did not pay.

I am sure that some dogs can have a good time at Camp Bow Wow. However, my dog needed a few extra things to be taken care of in order to ensure his safety and the safety of other dogs. I told them very specifically how they can ensure the safety of my dog and other dogs, and they simply did not listen to anything I said. They were neglectful, and my dog suffered.

My dog is getting better now and he will be fine, but I had an experience that I was extremely unhappy with, and I felt it was important to share this experience.

Tired Dogs are Happy Dogs!

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great time our mini Aussies

had at Camp Bow Wow this past week. It is difficult to tier these two

out, but they certainly slept well in the car and during the night!

The video cam allowed my husband to keep and eye on his favorite

family members as well. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and will

definitely return! I only wish they would add grooming services.

Put my mind at ease

My dog loved his 3 day stay this past spring at Camp Bow Wow Anaheim. He was nervous at first, but warmed up quickly and I loved that I could watch him over the webcams all weekend. I also called to check on him at one point and the staff member knew my dog by name. I thought the price was reasonable and my dog was healthy and happy when we picked him up.

Awesome Experience

If you are looking for a place for your dog to go and hang out while you are away...do it. The staff here were wonderful. It started with a phone call, and the person I spoke to was so helpful and did not make me feel I was taking up her time. She made me feel welcome and I had not even walked through the door. I have never written or posted a review on a business, but had to make exception to that rule. I brought my dog "Harley" there and he had a great time. I was very nervous to take him there, as he never played with other dogs. Once we did the initial interview, within 5 minutes Harley was out there playing with dogs. I will definitely bring him back for some more play time, and they will be the first place I call if I need to leave my dog overnight!
