Pure Element Salon and Spa

Michelle's Beauty Spa wholly deserves the one star rating. Though located in a cute Alexandria neighborhood, it is tiny and grungy. Walking up to the spa's door the day of my appointment there was broken glass EVERYWHERE! in front of the door!! The "spa" is TINY - there is a manicure station right up against the entrance so when you open the door (if you can as a thick rug makes it difficult) you have to immediately maneuver around a big chair. No actual receptionist desk, one manicure station is piled with papers and a phone. The service itself was only decent. The masseuse was super sweet and good, though! On the other hand, the lady I took to be "Michelle," an esthetician answered her cell phone during my facial!! Bad move lady. This is really not a spa at all, nothing really neat or relaxing about it. In fact, I went for an afternoon of relaxation and found my self more sketched out than anything.
