In order to attain the Mastership of the Academy of the General Dentistry, a dentist must first acquire the Fellowship status which requires to pass a comprehensive Fellowship Exam as well as 500 credit hours of dental education. After achieving the Fellowship, the dentist needs to study 600 more credit hours on 18 specific dental disciplines, consisting of 400 credit hours on hands-on training skills. Dr Chan did not stop there and he went further on and received his Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2016 which required at least 500 more continuing education credits after he received his MAGD plus a minimum of 100 hours of dental related community services.
