Kono's Cafe

I am so lucky I randomly came across this restaurant during my stay in San Diego! I got the egg scramble and it was so delicious, I came back two days later. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere feels like you're at your cool, hippie aunt's beach house (if I had one)! Also, as a musician, I appreciated they were playing Chet Baker through their sound system. Amazing place!

We waited 30 min in line just to order the food then we get to the front and they don't take cards. I heard a lot of great things about the food but I was extremely frustrated that they didn't take cards. There was no signs indicating cards were not excepted and it was cash only.

Great place to grab a quick cup of coffee or hot chocolate before you stroll the beach. Highly recommend the hot white chocolate. Perfect flavor and not too sweet.

This place is fantastic! Very good prices and good old home cooked breakfast. There is alwyas a line but it moves fast.
