We visited Jensen Shoes when we needed to find an extra wide size for a person with balance issues. After a lengthy consultation, the pedorthist there was able to special order the shoe with velcro straps from a catalog and created a custom insert which helped even the difference in leg length. The "after" walk was amazing and worth every penny! A balanced shoe is a lot cheaper than hip surgery caused by a fall!

very helpful. I came from Paducah Ky. Loved the custom inserts that were made for me. I came to you after I went to my podiatrist. His inserts were very hard, painful and uncomfortable. My plantars fasciitis has been gone for over a year now. thank you very much!Terri W.

In November, 1951, I lost my left leg just below my knee. Although my prosthesis allows me to lead a very normal life, it is my own right leg that has taken all the punishment for the last 50+ years. Add to that the fact that ever since I retired in 1990, most of the time I've worn flat moccasins that provided absolutely no arch support, thereby enhancing the constant discomfort on my right side - from my foot to my hip. Finally, in April of this year, I decided to have the footwear experts at Jensen's Shoes tell me what I should be doing to take care of my problem. It didn't take the professionals in orthopedic footwear more than a few seconds to let me know that I had done serious damage to my right foot due to the years of walking in ill-fitting flats that provided absolutely no arch support. They fitted me with a pair of shoes that support my right foot in all areas. They also molded a custom-made arch support for me which they inserted in my new right shoe. Ever since the second d

Dear Mr. Jensen, Since the time I was a small child I have had severe flat feet and nothing was done about it. When I would get out of the swimming pool, the other children made fun of my, "funny foot prints". Although the words hurt, that was nothing concerning the leg and back pain I have suffered all of my life. After you fitted me properly, I am now walking 4 and 1/2 miles in an hour as opposed to 4 miles per hour. And now my legs and lower back are not sore and painful. I race around the walking track for an hour with a smile on my face and I feel energized when it is over. Thank you for taking interest in my problem and believing me when I told you about the pain I had always suffered during childhood. It feels good to walk straight and still hold my balance. Many thanks, Charlotte

Dear Jack: I want to thank you for your excellent care of my foot problems since I was in a near fatal car wreck August 24, 1989. Some of the doctors did not think I would ever walk again. I had bones broken in both feet and both legs as well as in my face. Thanks to your special expertise and care of my foot problems I can walk around Radnor Lake, some 3.2 miles and this summer my wife and I walked over four miles uphill in the French Alps near Chaminix, France. It took us over three hours. I have also been able to walk on tours to the Holy Land, Greece, Scotland, Ireland and the heart of Europe.I can stand for hours without pain now. The special fitting you have given my feet has played a large part in my being able to walk again. I also work out three mornings a week at the Greenhills YMCA in water aerobics. I recommend this to anyone having problems like mine.I was glad to be able to get in on your special August reduction in price today. And I always enjoy seeing and chatting with you.Sincerely, Dr. Perry

Dear Mr. Jensen: Thank you for the half day you took on December 21 to properly fit my custom molded shoe inserts and toe forms. Back in 1994 when I first started coming to you, I had to look up your ad in the yellow pages to find someone who could do this kind of work. I had been told this type of help was available, but I had also been told it wasn't worth the cost. The doctors who told me that didn't have my feet. Heredity, Parkinson's Disease, and other factors resulted in very flat feet and curling toes. Until recently, the inserts alone made it possible to continue to walk. In 1994 an orthopedic surgeon told me that due to my flat arches and the stress it put on my knees, I would probably need knee surgery within a year. The shoes and inserts correct this walking problem, and as of today, I don't have trouble with my knees. Recently, the contractions that go with advancing Parkinson's Disease resulted in my walking on my toes. The custom designed toes devices prevent this from happening. It doesn't stop the contractions, of course, but it does mean that I can walk much freer from pain. For anyone with foot problems, I strongly recommend that they try your expertise. You can't usually cure the problem, but you can certainly provide an answer to pain free walking. Sincerely,Nancy

Dear Mr. Jensen, Thank you for express mailing my new shoes to Great Falls Montana. I immediately put them on in the hotel lobby, with immediate relief from extreme pain. My doctor in Paris, TN had diagnosed an "irritated nerve." I have now bought three pair of your shoes, and two pair of your supports, over the past three years. Your shoes do cost money, but they have given me more relief from pain than two operations, costing ten times as much. The basic problem is severe arthritis in my left ankle, which has settled there after an old injury. (My house hit it while being disintegrated by a tornado.) IN the first operation the doctor took out about 14 pieces of debris that had become detached. In the second operation they put a titanium rcd from my ankle to my knee, and then screwed all my bones to it, so they would no longer rub together. All cartilage was gone, a victim of the arthritis. So we obeyed doctors orders, and kept all weight off my ankle for three months. Things got a li

Dear Phil,Here is the Rx for my orthotics and AFO (I've been trying to get one for the shoes too but keep running into communication problems-will wait and try for that later). My orthopedic doctor was very pleased with the work you all did (said far superior to anyone in the Orlando area!) I'm scheduled to get my bunion and hammer toe repaired Sept 14th so may be back to see you in October??Thanks for your personal attention and excellent work.Sincerely,Sandy L
