Bought $35 worth of "cake mix" from here. Was awful... Cement like, salty, not sweet, and it broke my Kitchen Aid. Brought this to their attention on Facebook and then they said it was my fault. Never going here again. So disappointed. What horrible customer service. For $35 I expected something that would at least work/taste like cake, and instead I got bad service and a disgusting, gelatinous, dinner roll flavored goopy mess.

Provided by DexKnowsI just got off the phone with the specialty shop and the lady I spoke with was extremely rude. I was going to purchase 18 edible images for my wedding cake but will no longer be doing so because of the poor customer service. If the employees are rude over the phone I can't imagine how rude they would be in person.

Provided by DexKnowsI donot know what store the people that have left negative reviews were in but not The Specialty Store. This is one of the few places in New Mexico where customer satisfaction comes first. They do that by employing some of the nicest and most helpful people. I live almost two hours away and called them up to see if what I needed was in stock. Not only did they take the time to check; they also put it aside until I arrived.They also have a wide selection, great prices and helpful suggestions when I get stuck on a design. I always call thembefore I even think about going on-line.Thanks to the owners and employees, as my daughter would say"Ya'll are AWSOME!" Please keep up the good work!

Provided by DexKnowsI have been shopping there for years and the employees have always been courteous and helpful to me. I usually find what I need. They have quality merchandise also. I love that place. I recommend them to all my friends who bake and make candy.

Provided by DexKnowsI've been making candy for about 16 years and I must say, this store and gone WAY WAY downhill. Everything used to be bussling in the store, well stocked. I cannot believe how many things they don't carry anymore. I've asked and asked employees WHY, since I travel a good 3 hours round trip for my supplies. They say new owner doesn't care...too bad, I am now forced to buy on-line.

Provided by DexKnowsI paid $11.95 fror a 3" or 4" image. When I picked up the image it was actually 6 1/2". I informed the owner/managr the image was not the correct size (as was indicated on the order form); however, the person I needed to speak to would not return to the store until Thursday. I told the owner the cake was due on Thursday and this was not an option. I was not offered a discount or another choice. Instead I was told Smith's could reprint for me. When I asked the owner if I had understood currectly she laughed and said yes. I will also be turning this over to the Better Business Bureau becuase I do not have a choice but to use the image I was given. Also, I contacted Smith's and they do not print edible images for customers. Therefore the advise I was given was bogus as well. I feel the person should have been contacted at home since after all it was her mistake.

Provided by SuperpagesBest Customer service I have had. Even if what your looking to purchase is not a big amount they still treat you like your important to them and do all they can to find what you are looking for. This will be my first stop from now on.
